Friends ask every once in awhile, “Are you Ok?” Think I’m nuts when I write about some things. This may be one. But just me. Here goes…

Sometimes a  quick flash in time … a moment can hit me. Never defining. Just a bright sliver of experience. A glimpse when something seemingly very small … touches me.

There’s been a comment from a coachie. A glance from Nancy. A text from a grandchild. You know. Minute moments when the emotion rises in you. Just a time when a little bit of love shows up.

I’m sitting on the couch last night. Following attending the marriage of the son of a friend of mine. A special person. One of those people you wish you could spend more time with. Who unfortunately l see too infrequently. He called me. Only to thank me … one of hundreds of guests at the wedding Saturday night. To thank Nancy and me for being there. Wow! 

Emotion rose up in me as I sat there. Such a kind and thoughtful thing to do. I know he called others. Those closer to him than us. But he took time to call Bob and Nancy

As I think more … really? … that’s just him. That’s all. I just need to capture moments like this. Regardless of how small. Why? Because when I’ll read and remember this years from now? The emotions will be there still.
